Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve is wildlife paradise located in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. The National park was established in 1975. The world famous white tigers “MOHAN” was found and rescued from the forest of this landscape by Maharaja of Rewa in 1951. He was later reared in an enclosure in Govindgarh and bred to tigress Radha. She delivered first white tigers in captivity, and most of the white tigers present in the zoo across the world are their progeny only. In remembrance, one of the park Range has been named after this White Tiger, “Mohan”
Now these beautiful Sal forests are not only home for Tigers and hundreds of other species of wild animals but they also form wildlife corridor, connecting Bandhavgarh and Palamau Tiger Reserve. Occasionally the wild elephants from neighboring Chhatisgarh area venture into the forests of tiger reserve for temporary shelter.
Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve has open Sal and miscellaneous forest with scattered broken clumps of bamboo. On the other hand Tiger Reserve is full of high density and good site quality Sal and bamboo forest. Bamboo forest give shelter to occasional visiting herd of wild elephants. Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve is best known for its evergreen Sal forest, is home to about 152 species of birds 32 species of mammals, 11 species of reptiles, 03 species of amphibian and many more, 34 species of fresh water fishes. The major species found are tiger, Sloth bear, Chital, Nilgai, Chinkara, Sambar (limited to hilly terrain and in very small number), leopard, Dhole (wild dog), Jungle Cat, Hyena, Porcupine, Jackal, Fox, Indian Wolf, Indian Python Four-horned Antelope and Barking deer.
The area experience tropical climate conditions with basic three main seasons which as winter, summer & monsoon. Winters starts from mid of October and lasts till mid of February, Winter can be sever during December to January as sometime mercury dips below 5 °C. Summers starts from mid of March and lasts till mid of June, the temperature within summers can be reach at the higher level of 42 to 44 °C. While the Monsoon brought the Rain in the area from July and showers continues to pour the water till the end of September to October.

- Maximum 6 persons allowed in 1 gypsy. However, it is recommended that 4 are more comfortable as driver and guide also have to beaccommodated.
- Child below 5 years are not need to mentions in the permit.
- It is compulsory to carry the original ID card along with you, the reference of which, you must have given for safari booking.
- Single seat safari charges depend on final number of guests show up in gypsy, please check forest rules or ask our naturalist.
- Once the permit is booked no changes can be made in term of name change or addition of extra person. As per the government norms
